Peter is responsible for oversight of the investment research function at Washington Trust Wealth Management, supporting proprietary equity strategies and the dissemination of key investment information across business lines. Peter plays a major role in formulating investment policy and communicates the firm's point of view to the public through webinars and special presentations to accountants, attorneys, and other centers of influence. He also oversees all internal investment related committees and the Investment Research Group, our experienced in-house investment research team.
Peter has more than 25 years of experience in the investments industry, with extensive expertise in equity research and portfolio management in both the high-net-worth and institutional settings. Prior to joining Washington Trust, he spent 10 years as an investment officer with the Amica Mutual Insurance Company.
Peter holds a master’s degree from Bentley College and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. He is both a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst charter-holder.
A Rhode Island resident, Peter serves on the investment committees of the Rhode Island Foundation, Care New England Health System, Save the Bay, and the 100 Club of Rhode Island. He is a past president of the CFA Society Providence and an adjunct instructor of securities analysis at Bryant University.
