Lauren K. Drury, Esq.

Vice President, Chief Fiduciary Officer and Director of Administrative Services

Lauren is responsible for the oversight of the trust and estates administration department at Washington Trust Wealth Management. In this role, Lauren reviews trust and estate documents, provides legal analysis for internal fiduciary operations, and drafts fiduciary policies, procedures, and best practices for trust and estate administration. She manages her team of Trust and Administration Officers to provide guidance on naming corporate fiduciaries, fielding questions or concerns about fiduciary administration, and ensuring that all account administration is accurate and efficient.

Experience

Lauren has more than 15 years of experience in the legal and financial industries, having previously served as an estate planning and settlement attorney focusing on special needs trusts, counsel specializing in commercial lending and finance, and as a financial advisor. Lauren is a licensed attorney in the Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and the United States District Courts and is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association. Lauren also served as the co-editor of “A Practical Guide to Estate Planning in Rhode Island” for the 2022 edition.

Education

Lauren holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College.

Community Involvement

A Rhode Island resident, Lauren is an active member of her community and currently serves as Treasurer of the Greenwich Club in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.
