Caring for Elderly Parents
An executive working in the Northeast had elderly parents living in the South. Both parents were failing in health, with one demonstrating early signs of Alzheimer’s disease.
The executive was distracted by having to juggle the managed care of her parents from a distance with the day-to-day responsibilities and pressures of a career.
We helped the client find high-quality local, professional help to assist in caring for her aging parents. The client was referred to a professional geriatric care manager who could coordinate in-home care services for the parents and provide assistance with important legal decisions.
- The parents felt relieved of being “a burden” to their daughter in terms of her future career plans
- All family members obtained peace of mind
