Kim is the Head of Client Services, setting client service standards, improving client experience, and leading all client-facing operations of the Wealth Management division. She also heads up the tax, ERISA, and employee benefits compliance efforts for the Wealth Management division; assists Washington Trust professionals and clients with tax, nonprofit, ERISA, and employee benefits questions and issues; represents the Trust, Investment Department, and Wealth Management division when dealing with state and federal regulators in tax, nonprofit, or employee benefit matters; and provides assistance and counsel on other special projects.
Kim joined Washington Trust after 20 years at Partridge Snow & Hahn, where she had been a partner and created and led the firm’s ERISA and Employee Benefit and Tax practice groups, as well as leading the firm’s Charitable and Exempt Organizations practice group. She has more than 25 years of experience in employee benefits, tax, nonprofit, and regulatory compliance. Kim was a member of the inaugural class of the Providence Business News 40 under 40, and was named Tax Attorney of the Year for 2018 by Best Lawyers.
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University (magna cum laude), a J.D. from Boston College Law School (magna cum laude) and her L.L.M. in taxation from Boston University Law School.
Kim is involved with many nonprofit and community organizations, including as a director and past Chairman of Children’s Friend & Service, a Trustee for the Cumberland Public Library, and Chairman of the Parish Council for St. John Vianney Parish.
